How many bloody times did we tell you it was Jeff Finger v2.0?

Same thing with Ballard, I told you guys in the offseason when it was done, it was hugely stupid. It took a couple of years for many Canucks fans to finally clue in.

I wanted to respond to this from the last blog.

Once again you are showing your hockey ignorance.

When Garrison became a free agent he stated publicly that he wanted to be a canuck. Do you have any idea how valuable that is to an organization? Of course you don’t.
Garrison’s contract was inline with the market value. In fact, he signed a contract that was considered a hometown discount.
Even though I’m not a fan of it, AV and Bowness’ defensive system is considered complex. A lot of offensive responsibility is placed on the defence and that takes time to learn.

Give the guy a few weeks to get used to his linemates and you’ll see why he was so sought after. Educate yourself.

I'm also going to post this again because I need some help.

I'm starting up a GM mode on NHL13.
Anyone got lopsided trades for the canucks? Or just good trades?

It usually takes me forever to get started because I'm never happy with my lineup.

Trolls need not respond.

Once he signed the big contract, his effectiveness went away. He was good, before he signed the big ticket. Garrison got a big payday, for one good year and now he's the player he was, before his career year. He's more a $3.5 million dollar defenceman, then a $5+ million defenceman. He was a major overpay, in dollars and years of his contract.

I only realized just now that when all those years ago Jim Robson would welcome all those shut-ins, he meant us on hockey Buzz.

Ian is upset.

How was Bieksa's hit cheap? He also turned around expecting to fight and dropped the gloves. I love this Bieksa, hopefully he shows up more.

Hopefully these teams meet in the 2nd or 3rd round. Would be great hockey.

If the leafs are winning the cup after 2 games, garrison sucks after 4 games.

Garrison played in a system that enhanced his points, being on the powerplay and having a caddie tee up his shots for him. Bryan Campbell and his skating helped to make Garrison look like a stud defenceman. Of course, he cashed in on the first sucker that would offer him a large contract with lots of term. Same sucker that signed Luongo to a lifetime contract, and he went downhill after that. It amazes me, how some players, will play like it's the Stanley Cup finals, all year, during their contract year, but once they get their long term deal, they relax. It's up to a good GM to recognize the contenders and the pretenders. Gillis hasn't got a clue!

Your on a roll, after 5 games...

I personally think Kessel, Lupul and Grabovski are over paid by 2 million each.

Sucks about tonight. I hear Luongo is available. Might want to scoop him up.
