Dee, one more time...the Islanders don't need to pay the Rangers to move to Brooklyn. Here is an exerpt from a NY Times article:

In 1972, when the Islanders joined the N.H.L., the $4.5 million territorial fee they paid the Rangers gave them the right to occupy only Nassau County. But a 1986 amendment to the agreement allowed the Islanders to move to Queens and Brooklyn, and within Nassau and Suffolk counties.

Dee sometimes I think you would rather see them leave the area than move to Brooklyn. If the on ice product is good, the sky is the limit for the Islanders in Brooklyn...

I would like to tell Mr. Bettman that while it only takes him 22 minutes to get to Barclays, it would take me 90 minutes and $11.75 -- one way

Then maybe Mr. Bettman can be our next blogger.

In Dee's world.....the Islanders play in the Coliseum forever, Garth Snow becomes the greatest GM in all of sports. No one can kick a tire like that man. Charles Wang is made of pure gold and not only cures disease and hunger but also does no wrong on the Island. Red Light Ricky is the man between the pipes and despite his 7.03 GAA he leads the Islanders to victory. Finally, Brooklyn is this mysterious place that Dee nor the Islanders will ever venture too, they are not sure what bridge they have to cross to go from Long Island to Brooklyn. All is good in Dee's world

Thanks for saving me the trouble....I was about to point this out. This agreement has to do with the Rag$ (MSG, SportsChannel, whatever it was called back then, still owned by Cablevision) having the rights to broadcast our games- of course, back then, they actually thought those games would be worth money to them

Guys heres a chuckle, was reading EDM blog there Bi-polar blogger wrote about the possibility of EDM getting Luongo and shipping Dubyk somewhere.
this is what he wrote about the isles:

6. NY Islanders. Actually, doesn't Nino Niederreiter want out of there? Can he play center? The Islanders are moronic for not having this guy on their roster.

Guys is completely homerish, bc he somehow doesnt know isles have 2 goalies in bridge better then Dubyk, and thinks Nino can be had......

the move is going to cost everyone more money to go see them... the way i see it... nassau builds a new "coliseum" we pay $20+ to park there, its 20+ to go park at a game in Jersey so I can only imagine theyd gouge us for more here.... on top of whatever you spend in gas to get there or you get on a train for $20+ round trip, dont have to worry about gas and the headache of getting out of the coliseum. why is this such a big deal....?

They can't get veterans to come here, they can't get prospects to want to stay but NHL sources think Luongo is waiving his NMC to come here?!

Dee, reading the garbage that you write makes my eyes bleed. No wonder over half of the normal readers/posters that visited this site before you started blogging never come here anymore.

You should create a poll for all of the people who actually still come to the isles comments section to vote if they would like for you to be impeached as the Isles blogger.

UIF, you should blog for the Isles...even if you only write one short blog per week its better than getting the daily dung that Dee spews from her keyboard. Its embarrassing already.

If I was Nino, I'd fire the guy. I can only imagine the amount of sh!t he took on Twitter yesterday over something that wasn't even his idea. You'd think agents would be a little more careful given how accessible players are now with social media.
