Agree with you on the PP Kev. I still don't see us entering the zone with any consistency and saw alot of perimeter work without really getting set up for sustained pressure. Maybe the goals are why I didn't see it or maybe I'm just a cynic for a Lindy Ruff PP.

The only strong PP was the first one with the Ott goal. Myers' was really just luck and Vanek's was due to the flyers' incompetency. PP still needs work and Myers needs to get his head on straight, he was horrible with the puck on his stick.

There were several times on the power play that it looked like they didn't have a plan or weren't on the same page. But if playing like that produces 3 goals, I'll take it.

It did help them to focus. One time I saw Lindy look up at me and he mouthed the words "Thank You."

I think it was thank you... It was definitely "you" at the end.

looks like some changes on the leafs D tonight with Mark Fraser and Korbinian Holzer replacing Mike Komisarek and cody Franson. Carlyle must be expecting a physical game.

The Sabres need to crush the Leafs. It would be amazing to start the season off 2-0-0. Buffalo needs to stay in reaching distance of the Bruins all year. Sabres should be a #5 seed or higher by the start of the playoffs. If Grigorenko can start putting points on the board the Sabres should be in great shape this year. Grigo had such a slick pass to Ott yesterday, but Ott couldn't bury the puck in the net. Grigo is ready for the big show, its only a matter of time before the points start coming for Grigo.

Grigorenko will get 5 points tonight and completely surprise the Leafs because they have never heard of him because they don't read Garths' blog. Hope it is a good game and the Sabres nail the Leafs, they should do, think the Sabres are in slightly better shape team wise than the Leafs at the moment, although I think with Burke gone the organisation is heading in the right direction.
