Waiving Frattin is just absurd...Its has to be Orr. It just has to.

Frattin and Holzer are waiver exempt, so they probably go down, it's the easy way out but Frattin must stay with the team, nothing left to prove in the AHL, numbers again stand in the way of a younger player getting a chance.

Frattin doesn't need to be waived...which is why he gets the short end. I still can't believe Orr has a place on this team. Even as a fighter, he's not what he used to be...he'd get killed by guys like Scott, Westgarth, Parros, etc...

Watching tsn Ferraro is basically saying our D is horrible. I wouldn't consider to be that bad. Thoughts?

Waive Orr and give Frattin the 4th line duty. He deserves to stay and fight for a promotion to the top 9. Orr has nothing left to give. I thank him for everything he's done for the Leafs, but he's gone like Gonez!

If Toronto really is just giving Franson away for a 3rd rounder then I really hope Poile throws his hat in the ring. Franson wasn't perfect but at that price tag (cap hit/pick)..I'd love to have him back

It's funny last year, we had an abundance of D and they were considered decent. We get rid of a pylon and now we are horrible.

Truth of the matter, its average.....what we've been missing for the past couple of years is a good shut down Dman.

That is BS, there were many regulars that had a worse camp, Frattin is a crash and bang player, can't play that way in scrimmages. I don't buy that BS for a minute.

I'm not in love with Franson, but I see no reason to deal him for a 3rd round pick.

That's just giving him away.

No deal on Franson.

This kid has a number of solid aspects to his game, but for whatever (frank)in' reason the Leafs haven't given him a decent chance. Let's see how he works under Carlyle and reevaluate at the trade deadline.

He's on a 1 year deal with 0 trade restrictions, RFA next season (as per capgeek), and on a mission to prove why he is worth more.

No rush to move. Detroit can either wait or improve their offer. A mid to late 3rd or 4th doesn't cut it.

I wouldnt trade Franson for a 3rd rounder yet. The Leafs cant afford to unload D right now.

Sportsnet just said the same.

Kyper made the point that if the Marlies are all stocked up why are guys like Fraser and Motteu there instead of guys like Blacker and whatnot.
