Like Joe or Al said yesterday. They aren't gonna bomb it from the point in practice with their teammates in the way. Are people really worried about PP in practice?!

People react to the smallest things...I remember when Eli Manning showed up for his first mini-camp, a big deal was made about how much he struggled...
The only thing you would worry about is whether he would have good chemistry with Richards," said former NHL star Jeremy Roenick, an NBC analyst. "Marian Gaborik and Richards weren't a good fit. You just don't know sometimes how that will work."
Jeremy Roenick is on another planet, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the line of Hagelin-Richards-Gaborik on fire at the end of the season???
Also making me nervous that it seems everybody is picking the Rangers to win the cup, almost never happens when everyone is on a team but we all knew this season regardless of when it strated came with real expectations....

... look what happened in the NBA Lockout.. Miami was the favorite at the beginning of the season. Also, the jets turned out to be just as miserable as the media predicted.

Yea haha. Although when it was working, Stepan and Gaborik had even better chemistry. If they can find that again along with Nash and Richards working out. Then whoah...
I'm a believer that Stepan can be a #1 center one day. If Nash doesnt have chemistry with Richards then I wouldn't be opposed to a Nash-Stepan-Gabby line if Nash and Stepan work. We have options.
And call me crazy, but I think at some point for at least 3 shifts in a row you will see Boyle centering Nash for the size factor to overpower people and throw people off with 3 balanced lines if things are off that game.
What's Gaboriks deal. I took him as my second RW. Any chance he plays with Richards and Nash or is Hagelin slated on the first line? Would he be first unit pp?

he's 100% healthy, but really remains to be seen what happens, as of now Torts has him as a LW on the 2nd line. Torts changes things up constantly

#Rangers are already at 23 (including Segal, who plays tomorrow for suspended Arron Asham), so no moves expected today. This is the group.

I remember the Stepan-Gabby combo very fondly but for Roenick to say it didn't work out is more evidence that JR doesn't pay as much attention as he would like us to believe...
Cally worked as the PP1 line center between Nash and Gaborik in practice yesterday. I would imagine he'll be the RW2 next to Gaborik and Stepan to start the season.
No use getting bent out of shape about the PP before the real games start. But this unit seems legit on paper. A variety of skills from every forward with the QB Richards handling things from the blue line. No reason they shouldn't improve in this area, and if they do, as you allude to Jan... That will put this team over the top.
Gabby on the left has been a little bit of a story and Kredier being asked to play on off wing...I guess its to make it easier to take care of business in his own end. Torts is all about making sure these guys know what top do off the puck
Thanks , he was still there late into my pool so i picked him up.
Also took Lundqvist with my first pick - david22
Callahan can score 30 goals in a full season, his offensive skills are underrated, with so much attention being paid to Nash, Richards and Gaborik, Callahan can very quietly have some big scoring years ahead of him...meaning 30+/year...

As i recall, he's also a great all round player, can hit, and shoot. That stuff is counted in the pool i'm in.

All of that...fearless is the word I'd best use to describe him. This is a guy that stood in front of a Zdeno Chara slap shot and blocked it to keep the rangers playoff hopes alive two years ago but broke his foot in the process and it cost us dearly in the playoffs once the team qualified. The heart and soul of the team...
As you can tell he is my favorite on the team with Ryan McDonagh a close second, actually similar players except one is a F and one a D. Those 2 guys probably define the identity of this team more than any...

I agree almost completely, accept I would add Girardi to your last paragraph as well.
