Eakin and Reilly Smith have looked very good playing together during training camp. The Stars had their full AHL team in camp yesterday for a scrimmage (the two teams were mixed with NHL/AHL players) and the Eakin/Reilly Smith/Garbutt line scored the only two even strength goals. Eakin has also been playing with the PK unit.

Glennie was supposedly held out of the scrimmage due to an undisclosed injury. This seems to be the norm so far in his career.

I think he potentially is a nice acquisition for the Stars. However, your comments seem to be at odds with a majority of comments I have seen from Buffalo fans - why the dislike for Roy by so many?

Honestly I am not sure why everyone in Buffalo hated him so much. I mean sure there were time where he didnt appear to be giving it his all but he did put up the numbers. Everyone seemed to think he was a "cancer" in the locker room but really they have no idea and from what i have heard he was liked. I dont believe he was cut out to be a first line center and that is what Lindy kind of forced him to be. He definately bumped heads with the coach and the fan scrutiny didnt help. I think He will greatly benefit from a scenery change. He had some good years in buffalo and i dont see why he couldnt get back to that.

I've been saying it since the 09 draft. I wanted them to pick kulikov, and in 10 I wanted the to take fowler when he slid to us. Had we picked those players we wouldnt have had to trade Neal for goligoski. If those were the only three moves that were different In the past 4 years, our top 6 would have been

Loui-benn-jagr
Neal-Roy-Ryder

And our 6 dmen would be set for the next 10 years

Bill - is there any indication that Benn simply does not want to re-sign with the Stars or is it simply a financial/term impasse?

That certainly looks like a playoff team you've posted there.

I am coming to Dallas at the end of February and was looking to take in the Stars/Sharks game on Saturday the 23rd. But was looking for some advice on other things to do. What are some good places to eat? What are the good attractions to check out? Basically what should I definitely check out while I am there? I will be there for just under a week.
