RNH and Strome looked awesome! NYI and the Oilers should be more than happy with these two kids! |

- The second line didn't stink either. Ryan Strome makes some beautiful plays, and Jonathan Drouin looks like a future NHL power winger. - Maxbone

Okay, maybe he's more of a slick winger than a power winger. I liked the way he drives the net. |

Agreed....
EDIT: he's 5'11" 180. IMO to be a PF you need to be crushing guys like Shanny and the like. Driving to the net (is a good trait) but to me that doesn't constitute PF term. Just my opinion. |

- For those of you who keep asking, there won't be a 2013 draft until a new CBA is in place. If there's a draft but no season, there will be a lottery involving all 30 teams. Going by the formula used to decide the 2005 entry draft, the Oilers will likely draft late because they'll only have one ball in the lottery machine (some teams will have as many as three). - Maxbone

A little off topic, but the idea that this tournament matters even close to as much to other nations besides Canada is still wrong. This tournament is in Russia, yet about 90% of the ads on the boards are for Canadian companies. |

I'm not sold on Subban.......I'd imagine that's all Germany had to be grateful for this morning was that they didn't have him in net! to let in 3 goals facing such a lousy team is brutal! Sure he made 1 nice stop......he's supposed to! Over-rated! |

You're just sad that when Buffalo hosted it Canadians took over the city. |

I didn't say it was a good or a bad thing. The point is that it just might be the only international sporting event in the world where a halfway across the globe has access to such prime advertising space at the event itself. The point is that Canadian companies felt they could make money off of it, while the host country didn't.
Buffalo didn't surprise me in the least. We're 10 minutes from the border (though I did expect a better US showing for their games). I've already ranted numerous times about how we like to beat our chests and say we're one of the greatest hockey markets in the US, but rarely ever show it unless we're on US National TV. |

It has already happened. In 2005. The fact is that if the season is cancelled, there has to be some way to decide draft order. |

Agreed. And while i personally think it's a decent way of doing things;
I think his point was to remember how many people said pitts getting it was rigged etc.
Even to this day. |

My apologies. I was under the impression that you were unhappy with the system. Not that you were implying that the system was rigged.
