Schenn is showing more offensive upside than Couturier at this point, was that expected?

Yes, although the difference is not all that great. Schenn has had more multi-point games. Both have been a bit streaky offensively this year with not much of a supporting cast around them.

I watched a good but Of that junior game. Ghost impressed as it went along. One bad read on a pp where he should've committed to keep a puck in or bail. He did neither and got stuck in the middle. I see a lot of Gus in him. Prob better with his stick defensively and a better general awareness in his own end. Hopefully he can beef up

So, realistically, if there's no deal by Jan 6, the season is cooked.

Work backwards. They need 10 days (so they say) for camps and to get ready. It will be very difficult to get 48 games in if they're not playing on the 15th. (Unless they extend the regular season into May, which they said they don't want to do.)

If the regular season extended into May in May, they'd be playing water polo by the SCF.

Start a 48-game season in March. End it in late June, then the playoffs run July-September. 1 month of free agency, then the 2013-14 season kicks off. Problem solved.

So I have officially jumped on the Season is Done bandwagon.

I was actually quite optimistic until this last round of cancellations. Frankly, I have gone from a guy who schedules his entire life around Flyers games, to a guy who barely thinks about hockey. Interestingly that was down from a guy who had season tickets up until the last lockout and has attended maybe 5 games in the 8 years since.

How much less will I care when it starts up again this time?

Will these idiot owners and players ever get it? DO they even want to?

All they care about is money....
in this day and age, money trumps even winning the Stanley Cup/World Series/Lombardi Trophy and whatever the NBA thing is called

Understandable. I always thought it was going to go down to the wire. But I expected the Season to start around Jan 1. But now it looks like later if at all. I'm still optimistic that there will be a Season. Which is only based on that I'm just simply choosing to be optmistic. As foolish as that might be.

I tend to think there will be a shortened season, but not before a severe bit of screaming and fussing on both ends. If they don't save this season, though, and things go to court, I will be very, very pessimistic about things.

I wouldn't worry about an errant prediction. Not everyone has the track record of Da Man.

Good looks, intelligence, and humility. Can't beat it.

Can't wait to see Ghost play in person when Union plays at Princeton on January 11th! The Princeton-Union games at Baker Rink have been very entertaining for the past 2 seasons.
