Bill, overall how have Schenn and Couturier looked so far this year in the AHL?

Lack of talent, struggling to grasp what the coaches want, or a combo?

Overall, they've been good. Some inconsistency early and slumping lately but they've also taken over games at times. They are the least of the team's problems. The recent slump doesn't concern me.

Lack of depth is the biggest reason. There are no impact players on the team other than Schenn or Couturier. Guys like McGinn are OK in supporting roles, but the team desperately needs at least one or two more frontline talents. The blueline is also paper thin.

Played fine yesterday. Still needs to improve his rebound control considerably to have a shot at sticking in the NHL. Munroe is still the better of the Phantoms' goalies right now. But I like Heeter's competitiveness and athleticism, and he has definitely been improving at a steady pace.

I watched a lot of that game last night, I have to say, it was brutal. The depth on the farm is not there. Couple that with a story on prohockeytalk.com that has the flyers system ranked dead last( understanding that 10 & 14 are on the big club). Thankfully, the big club has a lot of talented youth upfront. With that said, one of 10 & 14 should be wearing a Predator jersey.
