Hopefully another Ehrhoff/Leino contract or four.

Apparently Russ Salvatore didn't know what to do with all the tickets he bought, so he made a Stubhub account.

Hey at least he made a play . I will take either one of those moves over the over priced signing of Connolly . We had our fill of that constant injury report . Who knows Leino may turn things around . And I was really happy with Erhoff's play last year.

I think it's quite likely, actually.

WOW!!!! Another Twitter comb blog from Garth. A straight republis of Windsor newspaper story, then more ripping off sabresprospects.com and all the video work he puts out. How original. How disgusting. Nice to see other people doing your homework! Embarrassing.

I saw the exchange yesterday on Twitter. I side with the Quebec City writer and Bakes (those who actually watch jr hockey) when it comes to opinions on whether or not he is ready. There isn't going to be hockey this year anyways so quit trying to jam him down our throats!!!!

I love Donald Fehr talking to another scum union LOL. Was he looking for a job? He certainly isn't getting anyhting done as head of the PA. I want nothing to do with a Rock the Lockout game in Buffalo. Just NHL. I'm barely in the mood for the Amerks at the end of the month but it's better than nothing.

It'd be nice if you threw in even an occasional sentence offering the other side of the story instead of writing like the Baghdad Bob for the NHLPA. A reference to Bettman's "bullying tactics" on Thursday, but no mention of the players standing behind Fehr as he lied to the assembled media that same day...

We all have a side we're leaning toward I suppose, so a slant in any story/blog about the process is to be expected no matter who writes it, but you seem to be the only person anywhere who attempts to portray one side as entirely pure and innocent.

I have not read one of Garth's blogs recently, I just go straight to the comments, it will only be a blog about how the players are being ripped and the owners should just hand over all their money to the players, $40 million guaranteed per player per year.

And the Bills blow it yet again, what a complete embarrassment this team is.

None of those signings should be taken, but I would say the Connolly signing is better only because its a less cap hampering contract. One is on the books for a year. One is on the books for 5 more years. One is on the books for 9 more years. Ill take the one year contract/problem and be done with it than be stuck for years upon years.

If you're calling Connolly over priced, Leino fits in the same boat. I dont see how thats any different. In fact, Connolly did better than Leino last season with 30% or so more production.

A players worth is not totally based on point production . See the stats Travis Yost put up. He is one of the most respected bloggers on this site , not even a Sabre's blogger. Leino along the boards kept possesion of the puck better than anyone else on the Sabres . Come back in 3 or 4 years .Then you will objectivly be able to pass judgement on these signings. We went through the Connolly nightmare . He just cannot stay healthy .
How many games did you watch . Erhoff's play was outstanding and I think it will get even better

No need to come back in 3-4 years. Leinos contract is brutal and will be then too and Connolly will have ceased to be a Leaf for a couple of seasons by then. Silly pants.

The same way/reason someone can justify the Leino contract as a good thing. In other words, desperation or complete and utter BS.

4.5 mill a year cap hit is hardly brutal . If the leafs would have made the move my guess is it would have been brilliant . You can have Connolly for his two years . The Sabres were considering resigning him for 1 million a year and Toronto gave him 4 1/2 . How did that work out for you . Did he dress for more than 50 games

Hey they took a shot , who knows how it will work out . if need be they will bury him in the AHL and eat the contract . Something the Greed meisters in Toronto would never consider. At least they took a shot and do not rip their fans off with high priced tickets and consistent mediocrity.
