If Buerkle can get an arena deal done with Ed "Governor of Philadelphia" Rendell, he can get this done.

The problem in my mind if the players are what they are. They are hockey players, not businessmen. Getting Fehr and Bettman out of the room is a good thing, but I'm not sure how productive this is going to be.

Bettman is hoping that these owners and whatever players show up can be like What Robert Kraft was to the NFL negotations.

Basically this is Bettmans last move I think before he starts talking about a date a deal needs to be done for the season not to be cancelled.
