I'd rather have Brodeur than Miller. More level headed, less confrontational. The last thing you need is to fire up Jacobs the old dirt bag. |

To be honest, though I love Miller's passion for the game, I think he sometimes speaks without thinking. He will say something from his heart and it will be detrimental to the whole thing. |

Fehr should send Ian White, Erik Cole, Miller and all of those who said stupid poop in the media.
Have cameras in and sell it on pay per view. |

so your answer is to send in emotional, mouth-running owner haters and a guy in Sidney Crosby who has absolutely no clue what is going on. brilliant. |

I would rather have roman hamrlik.
I would actually like to see a couple fans in the meeting as well. So they can tell both groups what they think.
Also, I saw your list of superstars and you had Horcoff on there. Did you hit your head? |

No way in hell would they let Pegula in on the meeting. He'd say to give the players what they want. |

Biased poll options. Should be some sort of "No, there are other players better suited." Not just yes he is perfect; yes why not; or no because players should pander to avoid making owners upset. |

The owners are billionaires largely due to their negotiating skills in the real world. NHL players are where they are because of sport. Education of some players aside, the owners will destroy them. I wouldn't be surprised if the NHLPA comes out of the meeting with 40% and thinking they did good. It's the owners' league, the players are employees, good luck.
To make things more realistic, any player making more than a million a year should not be at the meeting. The lower the pay grade, the more the individual player has to lose. Parros is the only one from the list that should go, fill out the rest with people that actually have anything to lose. If Miller makes 6 million next year instead of 7, boo hoo. |

Not that I see the season actually starting at this point, but do you really think putting Miller and Jacobs in a room would solve anything? I hope you aren't expecting them to come out with any sort of resolution to all of this if thats who is actually in the meeting.
You're putting hockey players who have agents that negotiate their own contracts going into a room with billionaire businessmen who do this for a living. How can anyone actually think that sending in the most opinionated NHL players, like Miller, against these owners will actually end well? |

Totally agree with Hamrlik in there, but many players don't support his position. Also Miller SHOULD NOT be in those meetings. His passion can only be respected but I would expect him to lose his cool in a meeting like that and cause the meeting to end early. He'd prolly toss a puck into the corner of the board room where Jacobs was sitting and run him when he had his head down. |

Miller is a punk. He whines to much, complains about "fairness"
One day he claims to be sorry for the fans and arena staff... the next day he wants to decertify. Id like him to explain how decertifying is in any way fair to those that he feels so sorry for.
At this point i believe he cares far more about NOT giving the owners what they want, then he cares about a fair deal. That he would reject a deal that makes more money for both sides as long as the owners would be upset.
Miller is too emotionally attached in a little female dog sort of way. Send a player who will control his tears and represent his peers as a professional. |

Miller wouldn't be too good of a choice, to aggressive IMO... And I don't know where the hell Steve Ott came from as a potential representative... If there's anyone that I'd think doesn't know much about finance, it'd be him. |

Miller is a second rate goalie and couldn't negotiate his way out of a paper bag.
