Taylor Hall has been awarded with the AHL's player of the week distinction for the period ending Nov. 25, 2012.

I've been having fun pointing out to all the optimists that the last time the NHL and the PA went to mediation the season was cancelled a few days later.

Hey, I hope it works out too, but both sides are too afraid of "losing" the negotiations that I don't see a compromise coming.

Another thing NHLPA, you supposedly "lost" the last CBA to the owners, how'd that work out for you?

they dont care about the facts and the actual numbers.

thank god the players haven't made this personal and kept it all business.....

Dallas Green is the best thing that has ever come out of Canada, so with the whole "Justin Beiber" thing... We can call it a wash.

but my gut tells me the league will lose more money attempting to save the season than they would letting the season go and using the situation to absolutely destroy the NHLPA.

to be fair. some teams certainly will. that's one of the points of the whole lockout, right?

Apparently not very well because now the owners are trying to take back everything the players "won" in that last one.

I know it's an unpopular opinion. But I'm still on the players' side here. The owners are in a mess of their own making. I don't see why the players should have to make concessions because of it.

history says you're most likely right. but, if the owners can somehow stop spending like idiots, it could turn out to be fantastic for them

So...it ended up working out pretty well for the players, which was my point. The NHLPA keeps whining that they "lost" the last CBA and they don't want to lose again. That "loss" turned out pretty well for them considering they were willing to still played under that "lost" contract.

I'd be a horrible blogger too if I wrote everything on a gut feeling.
