He was given the number one job when he was only a 3/4 at best. Pressure came because he wasn't as good as he thought he was.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing JP traded in a package for a SP if they can't sign a SP with Buck brought in.

AA should have moved him while his value was high, all his metrics suggested his breakout season as being luck driven and big time potential for regression which is exactly what happened, and it's hard not to question his mental toughness since he could never really bust out of that horrible slump. I don't think he's going to be a ace, or even a number 2 guy on a good team. I'd say he's a third starter at best, hopefully JJ and Morrow can stay healthy this season. The offense looks great, the pitching is what might hurt this team if injuries hit again and a guy like Romero has to be relied on as a top 2 pitcher.
