FIST!

EDIT: Good blog, Ty. I live on the outskirts of Lowell and I miss the Lock Monsters/Devils also. Both Providence and Manch-Vegas are absolute crap holes and I couldn't agree more on Worcester(If you find yourself there the 111 Chop House is a great restaurant.)

I have been going to UMASS Lowell games but its nowhere close to the NHL.

What did you think of Hamilton last night(if you watched).

Yeah, Lowell leaving really screwed this area out of AHL hockey. The other options just aren't even close. I've been to a few college games, but meh, it's tough when you know like five guys tops on every team.

I admittedly missed Hamilton last night. I was out watching some football instead. Truthfully didn't know we even had hockey on. NHLN's been a wasteland as of late!

Good read Ty.

Love Hot Damn! still listen to that album to this day.

I thought Dougie looked really good last night, he has a lot of patience with the puck. He doesn't force plays, if its not there he makes the responsible decision. He looked very good on the powerplay as well, gives us B's fans hope for an effective PP QB.

Do none of you Boston fans not see the dirt in that hit? I mean really come on I’m not saying he should have not had some contact but that was a bit much. No hockey to watch so I’m forced to read this garbage. So I guess it wasn’t Bertuzzi fault it was the other players who jumped on them after. What a joke.

No actually, I think its what it was interference, did I like it of course not I’m a habs fan but it was a hockey incident if it happened anywhere else on the ice he would have finished the game. I was waiting for someone to bring that up. Lets stop beating a dead horse. Chara is not that type of player. I hate him because he is so good and plays for another team.

I found nothing wrong with the Lucic hit on Miller. He came well out of his crease to play the puck and they collided. Lucic should not have to alter his path to the puck because Miller decided to leave his crease. I know people outside Boston will say he shouldn't have hit him, but it was a bang bang play.

Naw hockey players are better and faster than that I was fine with a little contact but he lowered the shoulder into him you can't tee off on the goalies he had to give a bit. It was over the line not to far but you have to draw that line somewhere.

Both the Lucic and Chara incidents demonstrated a lack of respect for their opponents. It's that simple.

Certainly a penalty I think it was overblown though ... IMO watching the video Miller is inviting that contact, he comes out to play the puck and it appears as though he drops his shoulder trying to catch Looch off guard and initiate contact himself and then gets blown up and throws a hissy fit and a 2 handed tomahawk that was far more dangerous than the hit itself ... it just didn't connect.

Admittedly I'm biased as a B's fan and I think Miller is a huge puss in general so take with a bucket of salt.

This is true. I think I know 24/7 Pens, Caps by heart now. I happened to catch the 1st game against the Q while flipping channels and got hooked. The Tsongas Arena is good venue for Hockey I'm hoping they get another team back there. I agree on College Hockey. I am only beginning to follow UMASS again but I know more names on BC, BU, Harvard and Northeastern from going to the Beanpot every year.

Don't get me wrong I am not sticking up for Miller I don't like him either and agin not saying there was no fault in him. I just feel that the hit crossed the line a little. The Chara hit was on the line, but as I stated I feel anywhere else along the boards and we would not talking about this. But full props to Patches for comming back like he did.

Yeah I would agree with that assessment in both cases.
