I think a more compelling case could be made. He certainly was a memorable figure in TB, but that's not going to get you into the HoF. It used to be if you had 500 goals and 1000 points you'd get in. But now the issue is more about who he beats out for the honour and how his stats and accomplishments hold up next to theirs.
Not to sell short his contribution to the Cup winning team, but he had 1 goal in 23 games (the 13 assists is quite respectable, but still...). There were some true star talents that got lifted the Lightning to that Cup. He scored 53 goals once, never cracked 100 points and never won an individual trophy.
He certainly had longevity and he played the game at a high level for a long time. But whether he beats out guys who are still waiting, I'm not sure if or when Andreychuk's time will come. |

It has to be mentioned that Andreychuk is the leading PP goal scorer in NHL history. To me he deserves the HoF but I'm not confident he will get in. |

1200+ points, 500+ goals, 600+ assists, 1 ring, Most PP goals ever, AND represented the NHL with integrity and professionalism for 4 decades. He's 100% a hall of famer, thinking otherwise is just ignorant. |

Nice article Mike. I think his goal scoring should see him into the Hall for sure. He wasn't a huge point producer while with the Bolts but he was also 40 years old. If I am not mistaken, he has the most career goals by a non Hall of Famer with 640. Not many players score 600. |

i think a big thing about andreychuk is he was never the biggest name on his team, in buffalo there was Hawerchuk and LaFontaine, in Toronto there was gilmour and clark. and he was more of of a support player who got pp time in Tampa. however he managed to play the 6th most games ever in the NHL and quietly put up consistent numbers. kinda the anti Bure who was the best natural goal scorer in the league, if only for a short time. I guess we see that flash beats consistency in the race for the HOF, but with 20 twenty plus goal seasons and the all time pp goals lead he should be in the HOF |
