Bettman is eating Fehr's lunch. Fehr is not really that far off base. The NHLPA is simply trying to find a way to save face. They are going to have to take a haircut. Fehr has not put the NHL offer in his report to the players, he knows he can soften the blow by explaining in a conference call.

I don't enjoy Betteman's rat face either. Fehr however...... his rat face has made my skin crawl for years. Too much history watching him F up MLB. Now apparently spreading his poison to the NHL.

What is to gain for Fehr if he isnt making any salary in the lockout by making sure the lockout continues.

I'm so sick of the dodging tactics of the NHLPA. More of the non-stars need to start speaking up and tell the PA that they're heading to a cliff. The league has certain lines in the sand that they won't allow be crossed and they will kill the season if needed. The NHL is purposely setup so 1/3 of the teams can keep the lock out going.

I'm gonna give ya 10 out of 10 for title......

First of all... how do you know Cloutier has every fact wrong? As near as I can tell, he has said everything every significant sports writer has said in twitter.

So, do YOU know better. Please do tell us, where he is wrong AND GIVE US THE CORRECT information.

As far as the memo, I will give a condensed version of what I posted on the Eklund thread.

This was NOT a leaked memo. The Owners latest offer was intentionally left out because the purpose of the memo is simply for PA Rhetoric. How good does it look on the players that they are rejecting the owners agreeing to make whole within 3 years? (whether that is the *whole* story is irrelevant for a discussion of the memo).

We don't know what has really been communicated to the players, but it likely has nothing to do with this memo which was obviously "leaked" intentionally.

The problem with everyone's discussion about how Fehr is misleading the PA is that they assume the memo was genuine. It wasn't. It is ridiculous to even suggest it.
