Great read.

I really like Lindback in Tampa. I dont think he will be dominant just yet, I think he is going to have some growing pains this season. He definitely puts the lightning in a good position to make the playoffs this upcoming season, not be a legit contender. One positive I think will really help him is that he had the chance to back up Rinne and learn from him. I liken it to the situation the Bruins are in. Tuukka was already a fundamentally sound goalie but having the ability to back up Thomas and learn from him has worked wonders for him. Its good to have the Lightning back in the picture of the EC, too talented of a team to not be good.

Thank you! Absolutely agree. Watching Rinne is definitely a positive for Lindback in the long-term. I, like you, expect some growing pains this season. However, I don't think 40 games with a 0.910SV% is overly unreasonable.

Just thought that I would point out that Lindback is Swedish and not Finnish. Still a nice write up. Look forward to seeing if he can pan out as a starter.

Those numbers seem reasonable for Lindback this season(if we have one). 60/40 split with Garon seems like a good start for him. It will be very interesting to see how the Lightning do. Im a huge fan of Connolly, I think he is going to be a stud.

I love Connolly as well. Watched him for a while including his time up in PG. He's got the tools necessary to be a real nice player in the NHL for a long time.

Wow another great article! You keep cranking them out and responding to readers. We, Lightning Fans are going to get spoiled.

Would like to read one on what it would take for Vincent Lecavalier to regain his game and earn his contract.

IMHO getting Lindback from Nashville was a great move by Stevie Y! At 24 he's got a lot of good years in front of him and I think he's got all the tools and size to succeed in the league.

As for Connelly, I really hope he does well as well. Apparently he's a good kid, my daughter attended College Heights Secondary with him in PG. Give him a couple of years and some confidence and he'll be a good one.

Always nice to hear a personal testimonial about a young player. As I mentioned in a previous piece, the AHL should be good for Connolly's confidence. Last season was a bit of an adventure for him but that doesn't change the fact that there's definitely a great player underneath all that potential. He just seems built for the NHL.

I think the Lindback trade was a steal for the Lightning, he's big, quick and he's most importantly....he's NOT Roloson.
