The agents will complain soon enough if the rotation drags on.

I totally respect Rush, I just could never get into them. Then again I said that for a long time about The Beatles, and lately I'm listening to them constantly, so maybe I'll get into Rush someday. It's cool when you get into a band that has a massive body of work because there's so much to discover. At the very least I'm glad Rush are Canadian icons who are a respected rock band. I'd rather have people think of Rush and Neil Young when they think about Canadian musical exports than Nickelback and Celine Dion.

That's what Caller ID is for. Agents are worthless to everyone except the players they represent and they have nothing to do with how teams are run.

I don't know what it is, but just about every canadian band or singer that makes it big internationally, I hate. Celine dion, nickelback, rush, barenaked ladies, ugh. The best ones never seem to make it.

Never made it big in the US. They had minor success regionally, but never very big down there.

Yeah, it seems like the Canadian bands that become huge international stars are usually pretty lame. Avril Lavigne comes to mind.

It's changed a bit in the last decade though, that whole Montreal hipster music scene became really influential with Arcade Fire and all that. I'm not really a fan, but it's cool, at least it's not Celine Dion. Then you have Drake and the Toronto DJ/hip-hop scene, it's not my thing personally but at least it's not Nickelback. Oh yeah and then there's Justin Beiber....

At least all the Canadian comedians that are well known like all the SCTV guys were international but also amazing too

His music is cheesy, and for kids, it's not my kind of thing, but I will admit, the kid is actually quite talented. I find his music and voice a lot like Justin Timberlake.

ha ha, I agree. Well then Regier and Yzerman will be coming up on his Caller ID soon enough. Fredrick Roy is playing good for the Amerks. Maybe he needs to sit.

In terms of Grigorenko sitting out because they have 3 imports, how does that make any sense? Presumably, if they've got three guys of high caliber, and can only play 2, they should trade one off. It can only make the team better if they do.

When you're getting compared to the likes of Justin Timberlake, you know there is some talent there.

Living in Buffalo, we're luck enough to get 102.1 on the radio and it's probably been my top station for the last decade. Just thinking of the bands and artists that I never would have been exposed to had it not been for Canadian radio; Metric, Arcade Fire, Joy Formidable, MGMT, Goyte, Of Monsters and Men and dozens more. I realize that not all of these artists are from Canada, but overall I feel like the music I hear on Canadian radio has so much more substance/quality than that over the stations here in the US.

Neil Young, Guess Who, The Band, Tragically Hip, Lowest of the Low, Sam Roberts...

Sorry... But if you're hating on all of these bands than you don't know $hit about rock n roll.

And...

I'd leave Grigorenko in Juniors this season.

Right now, he's a man among boys there, and it's good for him to learn to dominate there. He's going to be able to develop creativity and timing that he'd never have the space to develop in the NHL.

He's still very young. I'd let him ripen up some yet (in this abbreviated season (hopfully )), and give him his trial run next yr.

That being said, I'd still give him his 9 NHL games this yr.
