I'd imagine our first win in philly since forever is the mini series too - Danformo
Too bad they won't air the first 3-0 shutout against WPG. I walked right through a shot of Mark Streit's grandma sitting in her seat while they were doing a little piece on her on the air.

It will probably never happen, of course, but it's an interesting idea nonetheless.
In a letter to the Staten Island Advance, reader Chris Scandaglia makes an impassioned case for bringing the New York Islanders to New York City's smallest borough.
The Isles' push for a new arena in suburban Nassau County has been fruitless so far. Brooklyn's brand-new Barclays Center is one possible destination, but its 14,500-seat capacity for hockey would make it the smallest building in the NHL. If a multi-purpose arena was built on Staten Island it might be able to accommodate more fans, and Scandaglia notes that his borough has an available site and is the only one of the city's five without a major professional sports team.
On the other hand, unlike Brooklyn, Staten Island is somewhat isolated from most of the metropolitan area. It isn't linked to the rest of the city -- or to Long Island, where the team has spent its entire 40-year history -- by subway or commuter rail. That probably makes the possibility a non-starter. But it's an interesting idea nonetheless.
Ah the future Islanders. Right now Wang and Snow are licking there chops watching these 4 to 9 year old kids as they will probably draft them next year

do they have any projections how long a new arena would last in staten island before it would be sucked in by the swamps?
