Great Job in keeping the Flyers in the news...

Have a good one Bill!!!

I voted for one person due to being my favorite 80's player....

Tough to narrow it down to 7. Had to leave Tocchet off the list.

Bill, Pelle Lindbergh's body of work is just far too short, we all have a soft spot for him, but 150odd games does not get you on a teams all time roster. Since it's the Flyers All time roster that we are voting on, and not what guys did in junior or internationally, I'm surprised he was as close as he was.

I'll reiterate what I said at the end -- and I am a big Hextall fan, too.

"Lindbergh and Hextall were both unique talents; very different from one another on and off the ice. Longevity won the day here, and it's not surprising. But if you ask me which guy was the better goaltender, I'll tell you it was Pelle Lindbergh."

I'm certainly biased on this, but for me, I never saw him play so I couldn't vote for him. I remember when he died as I was just starting to get into hockey.

I started to really get into hockey and became a Flyers fan because of Hextall but I do wish I had seen Pelle in his prime. Same goes for Bernie. He's an icon for the franchise, but I only ever see old games or his play in the WC. lol

No way could i leave Tocchet off. He did it all for the Flyers (hit, fight and score). That type of player doesnt come around alot.

Out of the players who had the majority of the votes i left Gagne off.

I hear you. But Gagne was every bit as good of a player as Tocchet was. I loved them both as players. Someone has to be left off that shouldn't be.

Also, just a note on Hexy's career. I believe he was an All Star selection in the 1987-88 season and he was one of the backups to Fuhr at the Canada Cup in 1987.

I didn't vote for him. One season was not enough for me, especially in light of the "Flyers" resumes of the others I did pick.

Exactly. Based on what most of the other choices contributed to the organization one year wouldn't do it for me either. You can definitely see the wide age ranges of Flyers fans on this site when Bill does these polls.

I guess no one remembers Gary Dornhoefer. Wow. I have to say I'm shocked. 200+ goals, 500+ pts and a statue. He was Tocchett for the 70s. Guy just did it all.

One of my favorite STH premiums is the autographed mini of the statue. That and Bernie's figurine.
