There is an article from a Prague based news outlet that G has been in talks to maybe skate with Kladno if he goes over seas, Jagr said insurance is a major issue but hopefully they will work it out..

I have a friend over there who is Picking me up a Lev Prague voracek jersey and a Kladno Jagr one as well and it would be beyond cool to own a G Kladno one as well

There's a replica Jagr Kladno jersey (from its earlier Poldi team name -- it's been through many official names, sponsor names over the years) currently on ebay. Probably mediocre to pool quality but inexpensive.

After buying Flyers jersey's and having the players get traded, I only buy obscure jersey's now. Overseas jerseys are the coolest IMO.

I am so bummed out over this lockout. There is so much money in the NHL. It's this one big piece of pie, why can't they just split it in half?

Eric Lindros, Marc Savard, Chris Pronger, Keith Primeau, Scott Stevens, Paul Kariya. These are only an example of players who were forced out of the league due to concussions. These players may not live a normal life after devoting to the NHL. They may not be getting paid enough. At least when you stand them up next to a baseball players. Bernie Parent forced out because of his eye and Pavel Bite because of his knee. Both left the game much too soon. Should Whave ade Belak and Derek Boogaard have been completely happy with the money they made?

Sorry. Just thinking outpour and want the madness to end.

FS - Happy Birthday Bro.

IMO - If you're given a fidiuciary duty to perform in the best interest of your shareholders, you lose the option of "just splitting it in half".

Wouldn't you agree? If not, I'm not investing with you!

I look at it as a you scratch my back Ill scratch yours type of a deal. Lets be honest. The superstars of the league could make bucket loads more per year in the KHL, granted its a risky business. Without the players the owners are nothing. With out the teams the smaller players are nothing.

50/50 is more than fair. Rolling back HUGE chunks is not. Here is a fantastic idea... you dont want these players get huge raises... STOP GIVING INSANE CONTRACTS. The owners put themselves in this predicament. Thank Burke for giving Jeff (frank)ING Finger his huge contract. Thank Bettman for making sure we have 5 teams in areas that are not smart locations for teams.

so what happens if a player does get injured playing for another pro team during the lockout? Is his NHL team still on the hook for his salary? How's it work with the cap?

Haha, thanks! OB asked me over Twitter if I was celebrating Amish style. I said yes, by Sunday I should be a little hoarse and buggy.

Thanks to all for the felicitous greetings!

(FWIW, I am/was # 77 as I liked # 7, but since that was retired for Mr. Bill Barber, I figured I'd take 77. I am/was as good as Chris Gratton is popular in Philly.)

I would assume, and I am assuming ,that the player would go on IR or LTIR like any other player in terms of the Cap. As far as paying the player, and how the whole insurance thing works for players playing for another team during the lockout. I have no idea how that works. I guess the insurance would pay the player.
