Todd Cordell: Ilya Kovalchuk Will Sign With SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL

I'm must be a "bad" Devils fan...I just traded (they came to me with the offer) Elias to Toronto for a #1 pick and a #5 pick in NHL13....I had to share this since this is the only hockey I'll be seeing in the near future

I hope he doesn't come back from his back injury too soon so that he can play in Russia. This is probably the only time in his career he'll get to play on a Russian club team, I hope he doesn't sacrifice the long term state of his back for this opportunity.

dumb move. are you rebuilding? With Elias on their team, Toronto may not be all that bad, you may be looking at 17th overall pick for a very valuable Elias. Or is this a 1st overall pick??

dumb move. are you rebuilding? With Elias on their team, Toronto may not be all that bad, you may be looking at 17th overall pick for a very valuable Elias. Or is this a 1st overall pick??

Elias is rated low but he is really good to play with and puts up a lot of points.

i think all the players are overpaid and should stfu, but i havent personally read any comments from crosby so i cant comment if it is or isnt

just being there isnt the same as saying they are all underpaid

I don't like it. I just hope he can stay healthy and safe while playing over there.

Who said they were underpaid? They're saying they already signed, and they're not giving some of their salary up to owners that gave them the contract...
