As a Vancouver fan I dont think its that bad of a deal. Only because of under the current CBA he is deffinitley affordable at that price. But should the CAP take a few steps back They may regret it.
Am I ignorant for thinking the all these players that are getting signed in the offseason, Alongside the CBA Negotiations kinda makes it look like they already know whats going to happen.
Yet they're going to drag it out until the last day so they can get every terrified fan and even frindge fans a reason to come screaming back to hockey with excitement?

Like him or despise him, the guy played a KEY role in winning
The cup, he is young, seems to be very consistently improving; he's
totally worth it.

I painfully agree, he plays a role and he plays it quite well and he's on the right team where he doesn't have to back it up or be afraid of anyone taking a run at him and getting away with it.

Love Marshy, but YES its about 750K too much a year, BUT it's really not going to matter, we all know the Cap will be lowered (even though revenues went up) and just like the last lockout the NEW contracts will be rolled back by a certain percentage so the Idiot Owners wont get hurt by their own greed. So I dont understand why the B's are waiting on Seguin & Lucic. sign them Now to market value for 5 yrs and in 2 years they will be bargains. (just like Bergy & Chara are right now)
If Any Team should know this it's the B's since they thought they were smarter than anybody last lock out and were left holding nothing but their own bag.
