Scare tactic. The season could start within two weeks of a CBA. Most rosters are set, save for a few spots that are miniscule in importance. There is no way the league needs 30 days to begin.
Good Lock the greedy bastards out How much money do they want Enough is enough Screw them I will find something else to do Who cares Any one that does is a sucker
If they lock out this season for any period of time I'm not buying tickets for a real long time. Love the sport but with the ammount of time they had to figure this out and waiting till the last minute only screws the fans, I am a fan, and I don't like getting screwed by anyone but my wife.

I hear ya man.....I am in a really bad place with this league. As a diehard fan and season ticket holder for over 10 years if feel like I getting f.u.c.k.e.d by king kongs johnson. I have given my team all the $$$ for this seasons tickets.....they had better give it back to me if there is a lockout.

Scheduling, training camps, teams needing to get under the cap (especially if it goes down), free agents left to sign, I'm sure there are trades pending (depending on what happens w/ CBA), etc.
30 days is not a long time to get everyone's ducks in order.

I agree with this 100%. It's totally disgusting that they choose to negotiate two months before the season starts. It's also disgusting that they (each side) are only thinking of their pockets. Let's be real... 42%, 53%, 48%.... whatever it is.... they are all making a lot of money. We, on the other hand, sometimes spend all we have at a given time to sir down for 3 hours and watch a game. It's disgusting. If they lock out for more than 30 days, I'm done with the NHL for a while. Oh wait, I have season tickets. NOW WHAT?!?!?!
Want to buy some merch for my favorite teams (NYI, CBJ - that's enough to make one wonder why I would want to watch anyway) but am not spending 1 cent on anything NHL until this CBA crap is resolved. So much for Center Ice Package. I was looking forward to the start of the season, but hey with my teams this way I can still have playoff hope in December if I still care. NHL & NHLPA - you suck!
Glad I don't count work for an arena or a vendor who counts on the season to start. You really suck. Sleep on your millions...
