Henrique would poop all over the ahl. If there were a lockout maybe Albany would win something for once. With jj, teddy, larsson and Henrique on the team they would be quite the force.

Too bad the rest of the team can't go to Albany seeing as everyone on the devils are AHL caliber

My pleasure. With it being quiet in terms of news and the fact that there may not even be a season, it's really tough to come up with something to write about.

I don't know if I'd like to see Larsson in Albany; the competition may be too easy for him and would stagnate his development, rather than improve it. The only thing I saw that slowed him down last year was the speed of the game at times from top-end skaters like Evander Kane, and his endurance level throughout the length of the season since he had never played anywhere close to 60games in a year. He was fed to the wolves last year and came out alive and well, so keep him up at the NHL level at all costs or improve his endurance during practice.

Good to see that you're on board!

So, when there is a lockout, there isn't a draft, right? So, that would mean we'd be forced to give up a draft pick the following draft. However, could we say, give up this year's if they knew there was a lockout before it officially locked out and sorta stick it to Bettman?

There will still be a 2013 draft.

There was one in 05' for Crosby...

It would be to help him get used to the game more. He would be playing what would mimic an NHL season. If the season was locked out, Albany would look something like

Tedenby-Henrique-Whitney
Wiseman-Josefson-Zalewski
Anderson-Wohlberg-Sislo
Hoeffel-Sestito-Pesonen
D. Zajac/K. Zajac

Larsson-Gelinas
Urbom-Leach
Corrente-Burlon
Kelly/Young

Buttler is also on a two way deal so he would be in the top 6 there. Gionta is too for year 1 of his deal I believe.

Not sure.

Gionta has a one-way deal, he would be paid 525k if he gets sent down. However, he is not waiver exempt. Since he played in his first NHL game in 2010-11 when he was over 25, he is exempt for one more year of waivers. So he was exempt last year, however, he is no longer waiver exempt.

On Butler, I don't think he's waiver exempt because of his games played.

There is a draft. Draft order would be determined by lottery. This is how Pittsburgh got Crosby years back.

Not sure.

Gionta has a one-way deal, although I think he might be able to get sent down.

One-way deal has no affect on waivers, so if I had to guess, Butler was not waiver exempt so the Senators bought him out. Not sure if he is or not though or maybe they just didn't want to pay him.

Butler was on a one-way with the Sens so they bought him out because he would have had to been paid his full salary if playing in the AHL. We however signed him to a two-way deal so he can be sent down without waivers(there are some rules with this but I'm too lazy to look them up) and would be paid less in the A

Had Gio's years mixed up. His first year is one way, second is two way.

One-way and two-way have no effect on waivers....

The only thing they affect is how much a player gets paid...

One-way/two-way has no affect on waivers.........

Just means the salary is different. Just look at when we claimed Ryan Carter, he technically had a two-way deal, but met the games played requirement.

It matters because in a two way they get paid less when playing in the AHL. That's how they affect waivers
