Ya, Canucks... Those Sedin twins have helped make that franchise so great lately...

You should do a blog about the Canadian teams and the franchise MVP over the last twenty years. Or a player at each position or maybe one forward, one defenceman and one goalie that acheived greatness in that teams uniform...

Agreed, I would trade our best overall record to MTL for their Cup win in 93...

Considering Burke built the Canucks....I think the Leafs are the most successful.

You dont know how tempted I was to add in the "most profitable" criteria to the analysis....but that would skew the results considerably lol

3) Montreal Canadiens $445 million

4) Detroit Red Wings $336 million

5) Boston Bruins $325 million

Ah, the great debate as to which team that's never won a goddamned thing is more successful.

Ah, the old argument that any team who dosnt win a cup has done nothing.

Montreal winning a cup 20 years ago dosnt make them successful over a 20 year period. It makes them the most successful, 20 years ago.

Colin, have you thought about a team by team player comparison?
Iggy - Hall Kessel - Sedin...

Total population BC: 4,400,057

Total population Quebec: 7,903,001

Just saying...only "french" Canadian team, surely has a lot to do with it.

it was brought up a earlier, and couldnt break it down into a blog....best you could do is compare each teams top 6 players offensively and defensively....but what does this give you?

Significant hits... would be good for the banter. Honestly, it would be interesting to see what constitutes each teams "top-player". Points doesn't always = the top player...

haha, I feel that would be a repetition of "cup is only measurement of success" type of debates

Ill consider it for next week if nothing else develops...with nothing but CBA talks, there isnt much NHL news to write about

Sorry Colin, but am I missing something.

You said that Canucks have 1 Conference (10-11), 2 President (10-11, 11-12). How can you have 1 Con title and 2 PTs? Should it not be 2 and 2?

Winning the 3rd round would be the conference. Hence when we beat SJ to go to the finals

It should be two and two but not why you think. Colin forgot the '94 conference title. Anyway... screw it, we won!
