With the contracts given out on July 1st, he can get lots of $$$.

He's already stated that he won't be playing his full contract. You really think Kovulchuk is going to play 17 years, it's a loop hole in the CBA I suggest your team use this to your advantage instead of low balling my homeboy subban.

That's fair and I think that's a good argument for a team trading for him.

However, it's still $6,714,000 a year over the next 6 years. You can see why some teams would hesitate. He'll likely be 34 by the time we see hockey again.
