well here is hoping he does well. Relying on two young centers is a lot to ask. Let alone if the G's make the team.

I wish we could fast-forward three years, because I think the centermen on this team are going to be ridiculous (if we keep them all). Just not yet.

Not expecting much actually, but that way I am pleasantly surprised instead of being bitterly disappointed, I will just be slightly disappointed, gave up predicting players before the start of a season A LONG time ago....... just bring on the games already

I hope his effort is 50% better, last year Hodgson didn't go after loose pucks very hard and he didn't go to the net at all. Ennis always goes hard and he doesn't work out with Gary Roberts.

Let's hope he has a break out season. Unless our roster changes between now and the start of the season, our playoff chances kind of depend on it.

If Kevin nails this one and Hodgson has 50 pts...we arent making the playoffs

Personally I think CoHo can be a solid 2nd line center. Great skill set, amazing hockey sense but won't be 1st liner because he is a terrible skater. The only thing holding Cody back is his/his dads attitude. The self pity crap won't get him anywhere with any team. Hopefully he has learned and tells his Dada to (frank) off and stay out of his business, so he can be the player he is capable of

50 points would be a great season for him. Expecting much more is foolish.

I see where you're coming from, but if everyone on this team (Hodgson, Ennis, Vanek, Pominville, Stafford, Leino and Ott) plays to their capabilities (which is to say two 30 goal guys, three or four 20+ goal guys and a couple/three 15 goal guys), we'll be in great shape. And I'm not counting Foligno yet either, but he could be a wild card.

Depth kills, and we have that, as long as guys do what they're supposed to do.

I'm counting on a big year from Leino (I'm one of the few that doesn't think we should give up on him), and with some bounce back years from a couple guys, coupled with good health, I think we'll be ok.

Hopefully a full, healthy year of Myers and Ehrhoff will help the forwards with the offense as well.

Now, saying that, will we compete for a Cup? Not likely. Darcy still has some work to do.

(Trying to stay optimistic)

Cody has to step up to the competition.
We desperately need him to do well in center position.

Cody will have a good year as long as Lindy doesn't move him around. My fear is Lindy will tinker with Cody, give him a lot of different linemates that could slow his progress. The bigger issue is the guy behind the bench.

I have a feeling the entire season is going to be a roller coaster.. all the youth and no real vet leadership up front is going to be cause for all kinds of swings in production and effort on the ice...

50 Points from your "top line center" is awful thats 3rd line numbers. Definetly love the see this team in 3 years cause we will be very good at the pivot. Girgerenko is the top line guy we got. BY then we will knwo if Ennis is the real deal or just a 15 day dream. Plus Armia and a couple young D men will be in full swing by then. We could be very deadly

we COULD be very deadly or we could be in the same boat we were two years ago... we all thought Roy was going to be a great center and thought Goose could be the best 3rd line center in the league (well that might be a little strong).. TC was supposed to be really good..

I really hope that all this "HOPE" for the future doesn't turn out to be Obama's kind of blind and stupid hope that people believe because someone else said it..

I do love the depth but one of these guys has to step up big time. Even though weve been bad we havent been bad enough to get that game changer.

Not a Huge fan of Hodgson I have some serious doubt about him. I personnaly think it was a mistake trading Kassian for a small centerman when we already had one in ennis (who is way more talented). I think one of them becomes expendable at some point. I would say Hodgson turns into the next David Krejci. Not that thats a bad thing
