you know, i think Doan at this stage has accepted the fact that he won't win a Stanley Cup and he's fine with it. it's more important for him to stay with his family in Phoenix rather than spend the hockey season apart from them for the next 3-4 years. (guy like that won't uproot his family.) hard not to respect that. i don't blame him for this charade. in fact, there's no charade. i mean, nowhere other than this site does anyone care about where Shane Doan goes. no one is really paying attention to this. and Doan is being up front. not his fault teams are chasing him. |

Loyalty is a rare thing these days in professionally sports. I'm sure his family is also a big factor in him preferring to stay in PHX if the ownership issue is resolved very soon. Besides, Phoenix made it to the Western conference finals last year which is farther than most of the rumored teams went. |
