Kevin your blogs are one of a kind but to say you wouldn't trade Ennis and or Gerbe for Bobby Ryan is just crazy. I'm sorry Kevin but that makes no sense IMO. |

Regier is currently looking to do ANYTHING to improve this team. Yes, I'm willing to trade them. But for who? That's what a trade is all about. I would trade ANYBODY on the sabres depending on what we're getting back. |

Agreed, I don't see anyone on the Sabres as untradeable aside from their recent draft picks and maybe Foligno and Myers. The team has some valuable players that could be moved though to improve the team. Its just difficult to find the right team to trade with to get the most value out of a trade. |

No fixes needed. Trade a small skill guy for a bigger skill guy? All day long |

"Would you be willing to trade either of these guys? I think the answer is no. Even if it were Bobby Ryan."
But on a serious note, I would package both if it meant getting Ryan on the Sabres. |

Gerbe I can part with for sure if Ryan is coming the other way. I'm big on Ennis though...
I would love a three way trade between Colorado, Buffalo, and Anaheim.
It's rough but:
To COL: Bobby Ryan
To BUF: Paul Statsny
To ANA: BUF 1st rounder, COL 2nd rounder, Barrie(top tier avalanche d prospect), Sekera |

As do the avalanche fans. I'm just saying something like that makes sense based on team needs. |

would trade either in a heartbeat. Especially for Ryan, or any other proven player thats not 5 feet tall.
Time to get real serious. We have been treading water for long enough. |

Gerbe was awesome this year(not really), 6 goals with 14 mins per game. He could score 20 easy playing with skilled players not playing with guys with stone hands. |

I wouldn't part with Ennis (Briere 2.0) as part of a package for Ryan, however, as much as I like Gerbe'e effort, he'd go in a NY minute |

Anaheim would want a center or winger back. If they were looking for D this would be a good trade. Maybe Colorado upgrades a little on Barrie to a starter? And Buffalo throw a 3rd or 4th in as well |

You sound just like Darcy. Every single season Darcy says "I'm looking at any deal that can improve the hockey club" then when he does very little or picks up some bum at the deadline named Corkum or Boyes he claims "No trades are out there"
It's been 5 years in a row Darcy claims "No trades are out there" then all of a sudden we see guys like Mike Richards traded and many other players that are impact guys.
Darcy can't make deals because he over values his players, he rather let guys walk for nothing at the end of their contracts with nothing in return. "No trades are out there" for Darcy because GMs are not talking to him because they know he is crazy.
Darcy is like that old farmer down the road who has a 1969 Pontiac GTO in his back yard and instead of selling it for a decent price he rather let it rot and have a tree growing through the trunk. He has to completely rip off the guy or no deal. |

Kevin, you make trades to improve your hockey club. Getting Bobby Ryan makes us better so if it costs moving guys like Ennis and/or Gerbe, you do it. |
