Avs are way too high on O'Reilly to let anyone snag him, they would match in a heart beat. Reminds me of 2 years ago when it was mid August and they finally singed Stewart and Mueller to a new RFA contracts. They just take their time when there is no rush, put toy with us fans emotions by making us wait

Del Zotto is an interesting one . I think Gillis should think about 4 years 6 mil per. This may sound crazy but NYR and PHI are main competitors in the Doan Sweeps. Phil can't proceed in the Doan Sweeps until they know if Nsh is going to match the Weber offer sheet.

NYR also are bidding and have 15 mil left in cap space. IF 6 .5 for Doan and 6 on DelZotto it takes them out of the running for signing future RFAs /UFA s in the next 3 years like McDonagh Staal Callahan and Dubinsky in 3 years .

It also takes them out of the running of Nash

NYR because of being the Big Apple have their hand in every major trade .Most players want to play in NY because of the lifestyle. Time to cripple them a bit.

Taking on another LHD frees up Edler for package deal.

Ian you need to stop thinking Raymond has any value in a trade.

No Problem

So you wouldn't offer sheet anyone?

Just curious why you don't like them?

Once we get Del Zotto we can trade Edler Raymond Ballard and a 1 st for Bobby Ryan

OH yeah people laugh when I say Leafs always offer Komi Kadri and a 2 nd in every Leaf proposal

TO offered Ana Gunner Komi Kadri and a first for Getzlaf

Hey if Leafs fans can think that Komi and Kadri have value to get all star players, Canucks fans are allowed to believe that Raymond can get a guy who has only played 23 NHL games.

That's overpayment for Ryan, Raymond is surely enough

I don't have a problem with them. But the way they are being done this front loading the deals is why I don't like them.

I wouldn't say I'm a fan of front loading, but I am ok with it. I think if the rich teams are going to help the smaller teams pay their players, they should get some sort of perk for doing it.

I don't like when teams overpay players with offer sheets or if the term is unreasonable. If Philly had of offered Weber 5-6 years at 10-12 million I would have been fine with that. The 14 year term was what I didn't not like about the deal.
