When are people gonna learn not to drink and drive? This extends beyond the NHL and its players. Great goalie, stupid decision. |

Its a shame people still drink and drive. As a 23 year old, I still frequently party my ass off. But I always take a cab and get a buddy to drive me to my car in the morning.
People need to grow up. |

Drinking and driving is a pastime of Europe. I'm against cultural imperialism and we should support local cultures and diversity. |

It does look bad on the organization... |

I have to agree with this. I found over there people were more concerned about getting caught driving and talking on a cell phone then they were drinking and driving. |

How? Buff had no even set foot in Canada let alone Winnipeg before he got his DUI. As for Pavelec, what he did is so far away from the team I can't see how they are connected.
The problem lies with the circle of trust- did Pavelec break it by not revealing the incident? |

Wow...until he kills someone, is it okay then? What if he just kills himself? Want to take that risk? You're not very funny |

You're right...and its sick
Ladislav Scurko, a former Philadelphia Flyers draft pick, was convicted of murdering a referee in his home country of Slovakia, Yahoo.com reports. He will serve eight years in prison, according to the report.
Scurko, 26, was chosen by the Flyers in the sixth round of the 2004 draft. He spent three seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Tri-City Americans and the Seattle Thunderbirds before leaving in 2007 to play professionally in Slovakia.
Scurko let Marek Liptaj move into his home when he believed Liptaj had cancer. But when Scurko learned that Liptaj lied about it, he tried to get him to move out. Scurko reportedly stabbed Liptaj with a kitchen knife 14 times after an argument broke out during a drive.
CSNPhilly.com reported that Liptaj's body was found in a shallow grave in a Slovakian forest near Kosice, Slovakia. The killing reportedly took place in 2007 but Liptaj's body wasn't found until a year later.
Yahoo.com reports Scurko was released in 2008 with a new trial pending. During that time, he played with HK Slovan Gelnica and later HK Trebisov in Slovakia. But on Monday, Scurko received his sentence after a three-year process in the second trial.
The Slovak website Korzar.sk reports, via Inquisitr.com, that "the conclusions of the psychiatric examinations (are that) Scurko act committed in a state of diminished sanity. The court considered a mitigating factor and therefore imposed a sentence at the lower rate." |

If you dig a little deeper into MADD there is some very strong prohibitionist views and agenda IMHO. |

Like Pete said on twitter, considering this happened well before the new contract was signed, is TNSE raising eyebrows about some shady information withholding? |
