Even if he technically went 7-7 as he will claim and many will follow, how does that keep his winning percentage at 69%? A tie does not keep "winning%" the same. Also, he went 3-11, not 7-7. When one picks an OT win and it happens in regulation, a bookie or bet site won't accept it as a win. Nor should Ek. If he wants to just predict winners and losers that may be another story, but he has chosen to predict even overtime results.

Most just ignore whether teams win in regulation or OT. Just take his picks as pure moneyline plays. Even then, the record is pretty poor, even with the deliberate miscalculations that already omit several losses from the cumulative total.
But he's also tracking the percentage of winning nights. You only lock and wins and losses, and ignore all of the even nights. So 2-1, 2-1, 7-7, 4-8...that's 2 wins, 1 loss, so a 66.67% winning percentage. Buzztron math.
