Great game. Outstanding performance by the league's MVP, Claude Giroux, stepping up in a huge way in undeniably the biggest game of the year. That's what leaders do.

Here's hoping they can carry the momentum forward into the PO's regardless who they play. And it doesn't matter who they play. If you're in, you have a chance, and all any team wants is a chance.

My biggest concern for this team in the playoffs is that 3rd pairing. Those guys have gotten by but I see a lot plays being made by them done so by the skin of their teeth. I really hope they can keep up with the pace of playoff hockey.

If anything I'm hoping the more physical playoff play might spark Gudas.

Other than that the biggest thing will be staying out of the box. Need to rely on this PK as little as possible.

It was sweet seeing the flyers win today convincingly. I have to admit I thought Giroux was done after last year and wondered if trading him was better for the team. The crow isn't so yummy but glad to eat it. Giroux will most likely retire a flyer.
Congrats to the flyers for staying the course and making the playoffs. There is a lot to be excited about in regards to the future with this team.
Giroux has to be a top contender for MVP. The playoff clinching game and last regular season game he gets a hat trick. That's just amazing.

The only negative I can see from this game is that Elliot's lateral movement is still pretty slow and I am sure the flyers opponent will catch on. In saying that Elliot has to be the guy in net and I have the most faith in him.

I for one would love to hear Mordecai's opinion.

It was fair to be concerned with G's play last year, not really knowing whether it was because of the injury or because he was wearing down. The trade talks were a little silly IMHO knowing we'd get nowhere near his value even if it was seriously considered. It was prudent to give him a chance to rebound and thankfully, we did. The same with Ghost.

Elliott's side to side was a bit labored. Hopefully with a few practices and more stretches, he'll round into shape.
