Good blog Jan, the only thing I will disagree with is the AV comments on goaltending. Yeah, they don't represent what has actually happened this season, but they are hardly anything to get upset over.
We have gone from Torts telling the media Hags is too dumb to get PP time, to people freaking out because AV said goaltending is a little inconsistent. |

It's more so the timing of it. You wait for now to do that? Plus, call out the one who has always help himself up to a high standard and admitted his play hasn't been good enough lately. But maybe it was a way to motivate the rest of the team. |

He's lost the room, that's for sure. Who are the top candidates to replace AV? Everyone says Mess, but is that a realistic option? |

I get that Jan, I just don't think it was all that bad.
Lets just hope AV, Ruff and Arniel are gone over the summer and its a new beginning for this team. New coaching, and some new players. |

Goaltending is definitely the issue. Glad Jack AV Addams called out the infalted salaried bum. |

Yeah I have no idea who is even available. I saw an article the other day about former defenseman Jay Leach being a possible candidate to make the jump from AHL to NHL |

No one loves Mess more than me but I’m just not sure about him as coach. He was no doubt one of the best leaders in sports. And yes, he was very vocal and called it as it was, but in my opinion what made him so great as a leader was that he led as much, if not more, by example as he did vocally. They needed a big hit, Mess provided. They needed a big penalty kill, Mess provided. They needed a goal, Mess provided. They needed a statement, he provided. You get the point. I’m just not sure how he’d be as coach. It is intriguing |

I guess the thinking would be that he can instill that quality onto the players in some sort of fashion. Whether it's getting into a players ear and saying, "Hey, go lay a guy out next shift". But I guess most coaches would be doing that, so it's a bit of a moot point. |

The reality is that AV is a one trick pony who knows nothing about defensive play or adjusting to the talent on the bench or the competition at hand. He's clueless, desperate, and clutching at straws to point fingers anywhere he can.
5 years from now AV will be sitting around telling himself that if he had better goaltending they would have won the cup and he wouldn't have been fired oblivious to the fact that his PP still sucks, the defense that was great under Torts has eroded, and it turns out that you can't simply win games by making 150ft breakout passes every shift praying for a breakaway being one and done in the offensive zone |

Going to need someone who is good with young players, and isn't a dinosaur in their thinking. Gallant would have been perfect |

Hank is too classy to drop this on AV's desk and tell him that if he had more consistent goaltending they would be getting more shots on the net 200ft away...and that is too bad because it would be great if he did...and it was in front of the media |

In their divison? Yeah. Goaltending and lack of defensive depth has hurt them. They still have skill up front. |
