I won't predict that a drought will end and the Stanley Cup will be Canada bound because there are still questions on each side to be answered, but I will go so far as that hockey will be played in the Province of Alberta come mid-June 2018. - Jared Crozier
The WCF takes place in mid-June now? |

Sure, Pittsburgh vs Tampa Bay and Nashville vs. Anaheim should be great series. |

Not a Stepan fan, French? - tomburton99
He's the best centre they've had in almost a decade, not sure how that's a diss. |

As bold predictions go:
John Gibson could be a Vezina finalist. Under the circumstances/injuries a solid bold prediction.
Arizona making the playoffs is more crazy than bold. Even with the improvements they have made they have a weak team on paper. Their defense has been upgraded to average. Their forwards still below average as well as their goaltending. The only thing they have going for them is the unknown factor. New pairings, new goalies, new forwards... typically that is a bad thing but every once in a while it all clicks and everything miraculously works out. Certainly some potential but that's about it right now. San Jose is literally better in every way, not sure why more than a few seem to be writing them off this year.
BOA in the playoffs is not a bold prediction. Seems to be the trendy answer right now. Both Edmonton and Calgary are in tough to make the playoffs and do serious damage in them, a lot of parity in the West for those playoff spots.

The Arizona Coyotes make the playoffs at the expense of the San Jose Sharks.
