I still remember James Tanner predicting how bad the Hawks were going to be destroyed by the Ducks in that series. Epic fail.

He still thinks that.

Anyway, i think this will be a good test, coming off days of rest.

Four days off is too many. This could be a VERY tough game for the boys, esp in the first period.

Finally! That was too long without Blackhawks hockey. I know they had a break just a few weeks ago but I had enough other distractions to make the time go by faster. Looking forward to tonight's game! Hope 4 & 27 can click easily and thank goodness that 4 & 2 are (hopefully) no longer an item. Did not like them together.

According to leftwinglock.com, it will be Soupy and TVR

Kempny gets bumped? Lame. Just put Soupy on his off side with 6

More concerned about tomorrow's trap game. Think the boys will come to play tonight right out of the gate with the Oduya reunion

Not sure anything resembles a good test until the tournament starts. Everyone knows who this team is - only questions are whether or not Hjalmarsson and Oduya can regain the old magic, Crawford can revert to pre-surgery play, and Hartman-Schmaltz can continue their good play into late April and beyond.

17 games in 31 days is it? No more than one day off between games?

Just get through it playing well - AND without injury.

current Panarin bonus standings among forwards:

Pts - 15th with 58 pts - 5 pts back of 10th
Goals - tied for 48th with 20 - 9 back of 10th
Assists - tied for 14th with 38 - 1 back from 9th, 2 back from 6th, 3 back from 4th
pts/gm - 16th with 0.89/gm - 10th is a flat 1/gm

Assists are our biggest concern. Time for Arty to ring up some goals instead of laying the puck off to Kane all the time.

Will be interesting to see how a younger and good defense stacks up against the Hawks today. I expect to see a lot of Toews vs. Kesler line today. We will see hos that goes. Also a good measuring stick for the young guys coming in me playing against a heavy forechecking team.

GLad to see 2-7, 27-4 back together

Agree with you here Assman (just chuckled to myself typing that), but then you'd have to pry TVR away from Q's cold dead hands 1st.

Once again, you are either IN or OUT with Q. Regardless of the progress and great potential Kempny has shown, he will NEVER get to TVR "can do no wrong" status.

Dry cleaning?
Car detailing?
Shoe shining?
Knob polishing?

Mr. Kempny has not been properly indoctrinated.

I hear there's a new movie coming out: "The Wrath of Q."

I feel like he leads the league in Empty net assists!!! His line is terrible on d why are they even out there!!!! Also of his 2.5 he already has gotten $850K so its only the other 1.7 that is left. If we can move Craw and Kruger and bring back Darling at 3.75 X 5 I feel like moving forward we would be in good shape the next 2-3 years. It leaves us enough money to fill in with a few one year vets that we have missed out on Like Vanek etc.

It's a deep D with 6 as the #7.

Not like he's winning the Norris any time soon but it's a far cry from the days of Kimmo and Kaminskey.

Will we at least see 6 vs Det? He was playing really well lately and hate to see him hit the box for TVR who has played horribly imo

I remember how great Kruger played against ANA in the WCF , our D was great but without Kruger driving ANA forwards crazy we never would have got by them . Will have to keep a eye on Eaves tonight ,he is still very hot . GO HAWKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think TVR is fine as a bottom pairing D guy. His possession numbers support that, but with 27 in there, the #6 d-man will be whomever is playing best.

I just hope Krugs can get his faceoff mojo working since Stan wasn't able to go get a faceoff man.

Why is Bernier in instead of Gibson? I haven't been following the Ducks very closely but looking at Gibson's stats it looks like he's having a pretty good year - save percentage of .922 is pretty good. Certainly better than Bernier's .904.

What is the payout for each of these achievements?

You'll have an easy win versus the Wings. I'm expecting Jurco to score. Q could rest Toews, Kane, Hossa, Panarin, Keith, Seabrook and Crawford and they'd still win. Wings are lousy. Oh how the mighty have fallen.

Gibson is on IR. Has been for the past week or 10 days. Reported to be a muscle strain. I know this because he is on my fantasy team.
