That doesn't even make sense. An "alternative fact" is a lie. What you just read was an opinion. Not to put too fine a point on it, but those are two different things.

Mike Smith for Vezina? That's absurd. Mike Smith had one outstanding year in 2011-12. Other than that he has been an average goalie with an average GAA and SV%. HE is one of the reasons the teams he is on are mediocre or worse. Lipstick on a Pig is still a Pig.

EXACTLY.

Tanner how do you come up with this crap? The Vezina is defined as "Awarded annually to the National Hockey League's (NHL) goaltender who is "adjudged to be the best at this position"" At the end of the season 3 finalists are named for the award. Mike Smith is not even in the top 10 for consideration, maybe not even the top 20. He is a one year wonder, and it aint this year.

And Sam LoPresti made 80 saves in a regular season NHL game on March 4th, 1941, so Mike Smith has never held that record either.

I've always liked Mike Smith. If he had played in the pre-trapezoid days, he would have had a much better career. The dude can play the puck well. I've always like the style goal he plays too. That said, not Vezina worthy

Mike Smith is on the Coyotes, which is why I didn't include these misleading stats. The point is to say that the Coyotes would be about ten points behind the Avs without him and not the other way around.

Ahhhhhh.....so your opinion is that Smith should be considered for the Vezina. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, in this case yours is just wrong, and the facts back that up.
