4-1 Sabs - TPC
I think it will be the opposite.
Buffalo has been playing crap hockey recently.
I see a 5-3 Rags victory. Buffalo jumps early but Rags storm back in 2nd and 3rd. |

Early goals have been a big problem for the Rangers, that needs to be corrected. Scoring first would get the confidence back, or that "here we go again" attitude creeps in. |

Team needs to play angry hockey. They play a lot better when they do. This passive, pvssy game they play gets them in trouble and they end up spotting the opponent a touchdown before they decide to start trying.
Coach got himself an extension and a good pay raise. Now earn it. |

I will agree the team needs to be more physical sometimes & answer back when a game gets testy. Besides Zuc, Klein, kreider & sometimes Miller there's not much pushback when the going gets tough.
But some (don't mean you) suggesting we need to bring back the days of Krystoff Oliwa are lost. There are very few "tough guys" anymore in the game & the ones that can be, can also skate & contribute offensively. That element like the 2007 (its almost 10 years to the day btw when we first acquired Sean Avery) deal for Avery would be nice but right handed D men is the first priority here right now. |

I think the big question is, would you move someone like Miller if it meant getting a solid RH D man? |

IMO, yeah, as long as it's a relatively young player and a guy that would be under Rangers control for several years |

Hahaha, angry hockey. If anyone plated angry hockey under AV they'd get benched. This is y I can't stand Fast. Why is he on the 3rd line over a guy like Buch and Puempel? I know it's not Fast putting himself on the 3rd line but he's useless. AV really makes some questionable decisions and this soft style we play is very aggrivating. Here's a crazy trade, Tkachuk and Hamilton for McD and Miller. |

Like was said above, players who play with the toughness and grit, combined with ability to play are few and far between. When teams have them they are not easily given up. AV has to go with the guys he has and views adding toughness with certain guys as a trade off for talent.
Would you replace Fast with Tanner Glass? That could happen but it would not give them the best chance to win. |

I think at this point Fast could find a cure for cancer & you would still sh!t on him, its frightening how much hate you have for a nice, quiet guy who does his job. |

Only thing is if puempel isn't scoring goals he's not contributing very much and I think that's why he was chased out of Ottawa and look at how sound of a defensive game they've been playing this year. At least fast can get in on the forecheck and works as hard as anyone out there and that's why he loves him he's like an ideal checking line guy. Also buch has played 18/50 games and is a defensive liability even though he's got those hands of silk. Could the rangers use a bit of a spark plug, sure I guess but the rangers problem isn't lack of desire or hank but our D corps and although it's great that we have a a young core of forwards I think that a lot of the offensmen's defensive play in a very north/south system is making the D problem much much worse. I'd love to see the rangers grab a DMan and a 2 way forward but we need 1sts I got to sleep every night dreaming of what a wealth of talent this team could have had they not traded their 1st (not saying I disagree with the moves just that the rangers bottom 6 could be littered with talent on ELCs |

Agreed. Fast does nothing to hurt the team; or seldom does. He is what he is...and that's a 3rd or 4th line checking forward that can grind in the corners, block shots, and lead the league in empty net goals |

I don't think the Rangers could get a true stud right handed for Miller. I think it would be a guy like Conor Murphy, who is under a reasonable contract, but is still a developing (not established) defensemen, so even that type of move would come with risk.
I am still in favor of trying to acquire a guy like Wideman as a rental, but this can go several different ways.
