Just was checking monsters stats, not looking like a top prospect for someone who is offensively oriented. Smith and bossa have nice production numbers, makes sense to have them be called up next

It's possible that he's been trying to mold a two-way game as that's what Roy wants of him, but that's probably wishful thinking and he's just struggling.

I like Smith, I watched him play a lot in the WHL and he was putting up serious numbers. Granted its a little harder to put up 106points in the NHL... Still needs to add size to his game. Go Avs!!!

I like the call ups and how the bottom 6 is looking with them in it.

also good to see Bigras getting invited back to Team Canada selection roster.

Hope he makes it, tough competition on the Left side though, hes been playing well in the OHL, would be a huge confidence boost for the guy

Hishon leads the team in shots, both him and Sgarbossa are shooting around 7-8%...so who knows, might be better than the point totals look. But in general, its not looking all that promising at the moment.

Nice to see elliot doing well.

based on our current roster situation, probably not, we have

EJ, Barrie, Stuart, Holden, Guenin, and Redmond all returning. I cant see Roy giving a roster spot to a Rookie over those guys (that just seems his style) unless he is clearly the best player on the ice in preseason and in camp. Plus if we add a UFA Dman or one in trade. Its still going to be a crowded back in via 1 way contracts.

I hope we trim a lot of that fat this offseason in packaged deals, if we can get rid of Guenin and Holden, that makes this more interesting.

I think he can earn his spot on this team eventually again, he is looking good. I hope he is at least rovering into the 6th/7th spot by the seasons end

I saw a lot of outrage on Twitter when they called up Stollery over Elliott the last time. They were replacing a LHS in Stuart and Roy loves his Righty Lefty pairings. Elliott wasn't going to move up the depth chart to beat out EJ, Barrie, Redmond, and Guenin (I know why) and Wilson for the RHS. His time will come, just Guenin needs to go away or get hurt to really make that possible

Just the string of bad luck with health.

Well...kind of bad luck...hate to see it happen this way but that youthful energy called up seemed to really kick start some better hockey out of them. There was that one game a week ago, 3 kids from the AHL all on one line and they looked better than our 1-2 punch.
