Our D core is too young and/or in mental breakdown with too many mistakes to last long. How many times the last 2 seasons have we seen the other team 5 on 5 skate around us in our zone while we chase the puck as if on the penalty kill? It'll be our undoing more than likely, with the likes of Kindl & Lashoff being out of position on timely goals, but it is where our weakness lies, our 2nd & 3rd D Pairings.

Babcock does need to bring back the Tatar, Nyquist, Jurco line imo, that line was great when it was together.

Too tough and too banged up, even if Hank does come back, to win a tough series vs the Bruins.

If any team could pull an upset it would be the wings, Babcock is quite the coach , good luck with the Bruins.

Exactly how I feel. Of all of the teams in the East, this is the only one that I feel could legitimately take out the Bruins. Go Wings!

I have learned to never over look at Mike Babcock coached team. In my mind, the Wings are the model on how to run a franchise. Top to bottom I don't think there is a better run team out there. But I was glad to finally get the needed playoff win against them last year. But if anyone thinks the B's will roll through the Wings??

it's going to be a great, fun and hard-fought series between two great teams.

Bruins 4-0.

no Ericsson - this leaves guys like Kindl more exposed
no Zetterberg
no upset

good season though, good learning experience for the kids.

I'm of the mindset that any team with Pavel Datsyuk has a chance to win every night.

The Wings could upset the Bruins (particularly if Howard is solid and Nyquist and Franzen get hot), but with as much inexperience as this roster has it's a longshot.

It will be interesting to see how the young guys play when it counts. They did good in the AHL playoffs last year but that's worlds apart from the NHL.

The fact that the Wings are becoming everybody's favorite upset pick is not a good sign though.

Hoping for an upset, or at the very least a hard-fought, competently officiated, entertaining series.

But yeah, like most others here, I think Detroit is definitely going to need some good luck and a fluke performance or two (like Franzen averaging a goal and a half per game or Howard going .960) to get through. Not impossible, but Boston is filthy good. Best team in the East and it's not close.

Biggest key for the wings is quick transitions out of the D-zone. When Boston sustains pressure, they will score. Especially since they play such a heavy game and without Erickson, the Wings defense is not a overly imposing group. Babcock talked after yesterday's game about how well Mrazek handled the puck and how much pressure that took off the defensemen with the Blues big forwards pressing down on them. Same thing against the B's except Howards puck handling skills are terrible, so it will be on the defense to make the quick plays themselves.

I don't think the wings will look out of place in this series, but B's in 6

Go Redwings Go!!!!!

I don't care if Stalin, Hilter, Pol Pot, Mousslini and Kim Jong Un is on your team. I. Hate. Boston.

Also cheering for Columbus because a) they are playing Pittsburgh and b) they dumped that uses douche Nash.

Would you rather receive recognition for being the victim of a brutal assault, or continue to play in the NHL? That's a no brainer for anyone who has ever laced up a pair of skates

No poop Sherlock! Do you honestly think that he would have stayed in the NHL for ANY real length of time?
