I don't know why people would expect the leafs to start doing worse as they start getting players back into their lineup.

Are the leafs arguably a better team on paper than they've been now that Frattin is back? Yes.

Are the leafs arguably a better team when they get Lupul back? Yes.

Will the leafs arguably be a better team when they finally call Gardiner back up? Yes.

Nope. Analytics are cool stuff. But they don't look at a few things, mainly:

1. We're getting players back from injury.
2. We have essentially our best OFD in the minors waiting to be called up
3. The leafs are playing competitively regardless of any trends, right now.

ur trying to use number to predict the future.. when u have to remember there is a human element.... players can progress... and get better..... and better players can come back from injury... moves could be made.
