Devils and anyone else will loads of cap would be happy to take 11th overall for a bad contract. Just curious why it costs a 1st to get rid of Ryan who is more useful then Cally and it's only going to take a second to move his terrible contract ?

agreed. nucks and yotes should be in on brown if the price is #11 to move him.

Also hearing Vegas taking Brown's contract in expansion draft. No plans to buy him out. - Streit2ThePoint
highly likely. Their prospect pool sucks and they need to get Brown of the books. Vegas has all the cap space in the world to keep him there as a third line winger, at which he can still be a useful player.

Vegas taking on these bad contracts along with these picks would count as their selection in the expansion draft, that's why the price is so steep (duplicate)

but at some point the price becomes so high that other teams will be interested in making the trade.

There's no guarantee that Vegas will have all that much cap space in their plans. They may prefer a buyout if they're going to try and sign RFA's like Schultz and if they take on some big name contracts (IE Howard if McPhee feels he played well enough last season; would be a mistake IMO)
