I'd love to get Spooner on the Sens... would be awesome to have another skilled guy... maybe trade Boro or Ceci for him?

If Spooner has untapped potential why trade him? But really isn't he entering prime years now and this is what you can expect? So where is the trade value. Canucks RFA Boucher seems on par and younger so why can't Vegas just get a player like him for nothing then pay in a trade.

They should try to work something out with the NYI. They had the 3rd worst PP and just missed the playoffs. Maybe work something out for De Haan.

I like the idea of doing a deal with vegas. If they take Hayes or belesky we'll send em Spooner for a 3rd rounder

Really agree. Have Hayes taken in expansion by dangling Spooner.

I still like Spooner. I think that he started getting better when he played as a Center. I just thought with the matchup against Ottawa it was a different game Boston had to play. They should have had him sit the whole series and played more grinders. That's what worked against Ottawa. Dump, chase, check, ugly goals.

Spooner needs to develop his face offs and battles.

Can play the half boards on PP and nothing else.

That trade to Vegas seems reasonable, though you probably would be looking at a 2nd and 6th for the two imho and maybe both sides have movable parts ?but very creative thinking guys

Chara, Krug, Miller, Miller, Mcquaid all require protection so yeah... point stands

We will take Phil back, but Toronto needs to pick up ALL of the remaining salary.
Might as well throw Flower in as well.
So......Spooner + Hayes for Kessel + Flower with Toronto picking up all salaries for the 4 players.
Then the Leafs can all suck it.

With Chara needing protection, that means we can only protect 2 others. Krug is obvious, but then between McQuaid, K. Miller, and C. Miller, it is difficult to figure out.

Guys have been hard on K. Miller for a couple years, but I think he has really shown growth, especially the second half of the season.

Colin really looks like a sick offensive minded defenseman who has to develop some more defense skills.

McQuaid is Mcquaid. A stay at home defenseman who constantly blocks shots and Hits.

Trade him for a mid round pick, then give that pick to Vegas so they take Hayes. Win win

Trade him to Vegas in a deal to select Jimmy Hayes in the expansion draft. Kill two birds with one stone.
