I'd like to see Crazy Ivan and Ghost fighting for the franchise record for points by a defenseman next year! Then as they both break it, but in a tie, Meyers comes out a year later and ties it also!

Love that scouting report for both players. Sounds very encouraging.

What D prospect if any does the immergence of Myers maybe make available in a trade. Do you think the flyers would put a package together with another D prospect to fill the wing position

At some point, some pieces will have to be expendable, and were gonna have to give to get. Just hate to make a move too quickly and end up realizing 5 years from now we traded away the wrong guys.

Was able to watch both guys in their respective league finals....I likened Myers to Tyler Myers but I kept thinking he looked like Dan Mcgillis....the good version...lol. Provorov looks like a young version of Mark Howe....same poise...same raw skill but most important the same hockey sense....he looks like he just thinks the game better then the other guys on the ice.
Obviously that's very high praise and both guys have a long way to go but the most positive sign is that they both continue to get better.

Anyone else watch Mitch Marner last night dismantle RedDeer? Speaking of a kid that continues to grow as a player...scary good.

Bill, so does Myers have the potential to be a Coburn style player then, big, good-skating, responsible but not All that physical... I'll take it.... And his right hand shot.

Exactly. Example: From an offensive standpoint, Sanheim may have highest upside of the lot not currently in NHL. Give it time, see how his overall game develops at the pro level.

if Meyers becomes a coburn like player I'd be estatic esp considering he was an undrafted player.

Agreed with Nasty, if he becomes Coburn that is a huge signing. Remember Coburn played #2 to Timmonen for some time in his prime. At times Coburn teased us into thinking he could be more but a solid #2 would be amazing! RH too. I'm not hyping him that much as 1 year is just 1 year and would be happy with him becoming a #4 (not Flyers 2015-2016 #4!). Heck, he wasn't drafted, if he plays any NHL time it is a real win.

How great would that be if a little over half these prospects pan out? Blue line set for years.

Thanks Bill. Keep the great updates coming. As you see it, what changes will Hexy make with our D this off season? Streit? Manning? Any line up predictions?
If Ghost has a good D line mate, then I think that his play making abilities will flourish even more. However, as we saw in the playoffs, the Caps made him an easy target; thus taking away some of his offensive strengths.
My gripe with Coby, towards the end of his stay with the Flyers, was his decision making skills, and his moderate speed. He was good along the boards, but if you could get around him, or if you were a good puck handler, then you could beat him on a regular basis. In his defense, because of our choice of D players, he was put in a bad position, plus Timmo made several D men look good by covering up their weak points.

I see a couple mocks having the Flyers taking Luke Kunin, C/RW, Wisconsin. anyone know anything about the kid?

I would love it as well but what team would be interested in either of those two guys? Edmonton?

Teams will be interested in Streit, especially if the Flyers retain some $$

Teams targeting Gostisbehere, is never going to change, regardless of who he is partnered with. He is going to be at a physical disadvantage his entire career to NHL forwards down low. That's okay, he makes up for it in other areas.
Coburn was and still is a plus skater as a defenseman.
