Personally I would have given the 'link love' to BSN, they've done the serious work regarding covering Varly's civil case.

The DP has not had anyone there until today.

yeah AJ has been killing it with the coverage, good for them. They are good hockey guys to talk shop with.

Thinking of the roster next season, wonder if the Avs should try and get Matt Read out of the Flyers as a salary dump, I think he could be a low cost pick up since hes having a mediocre year on a meh flyers team.

Thinking of the roster next season, wonder if the Avs should try and get Matt Read out of the Flyers as a salary dump, I think he could be a low cost pick up since hes having a mediocre year on a meh flyers team.

Even if iggy stays to start the season, he can slide into Martinsens spot for the time being.

Certainly respect your opinion. I think the Avs see 4 D-men as the future (EJ, Barrie, Zads and Bigras). All mobile pick movers. Roy has shown a tendency to pair those types with a "stay at home" types. If all four stay, what does the future pairings look like?

It'll be interesting to see but Tyson Barrie is such a unique player, I wouldn't move him unless the deal was too good to pass up or I has to.

I LOVE TB. Love how smart he is with his stick, his positioning for a smaller man, on the PP and on the 3-3.

I also love the idea of a scoring winger with Dutch MacK who can keep up with them...

Drouin on the way, sakic & yzerman made a deal, if we win the alumni game we get him. Lol

I agree, dont move Barrie for any reasons. Unless his contract demands are ridiculous (Subban level) you dont move him.

If you had to move him, cant move him for a forward. Still need a Top 4 RHD to take his place, Avs dont have the luxury of moving Dman for forwards.

Only guy I would really move him for is Hamonic, hes the only on par Dman that is rumoured to be on the block, his contract and him being a righty makes up for it even though I think Barrie is more of an elite puck moving Dman than him.

might have to add, like Siemens or something else, but I still think the Avs need to gain one more tweener Top 9/Top 6. silfverberg, cam atkinson type players. So if they can do that, and not diminish the quality of their Top 4 D. Thats a good hockey trade

Comeau is great, but they need one more of him. if not in trade, UFA. McGinn coming back would solve that. Troy Brouwer would be a sneaky good guy to add to this team, would fit in under Roys style

True, but I would like to see those guys play meaningful AHL time first. Comeau was a 3 year deal, so by the time his contract is up, you have seasoned Bleaks or Compher to jump into that role.

I like Compher more than Bleaks, I think he is going to be one heck of a player.
Side not I still want the Avs to get their hands on B. Lemieux, he still needs to part of this organization

I might be the minority but if Avs pony up for a young winger, I would rather it be Rychel. I think he fits Roys and the teams identity better than Drouin.
