What's up with Rattie? I see that you guys have more then enough forwards, would he be in the AHL. |

Upon watching Rattie play a few games with the big club last year, nothing really impressed me about his game. Small sample size I know and he has a great shot. Hard to be effective with that shot if you can't get the puck in an area to do that. The last game he played here he was better, well at least noticeable. He needs to play in a top 6 role to further develop. He won't get the ice time here to get acclimated or play with the players he needs to to be successful. Barring any injuries of course. |

Move detroit back to the west, they fit better over there anyway. Not that having them is east is bad, it's just weird having them since they were western conference for so long. |

keep backes. Our PP is what it is because of him. Too much of a void to fill if we lose him. |

Plekanec for Backes? Pretty similar stats and a win-win for both teams IMO |

What kind of $$$ is Schwartz looking at after this season? Probably close to what Saad got? |

Backes was not the problem by himself
I think you move him to the wing and you trade Berg for a third line center or if you think Fabbri will be ready you move Berg for picks |

Trade Bergy and sign Eric Fehr to be your 3rd line center? |

I could be down with that
or let Brodziak center the third and put Fehr on the fourth? |

Or let Brodziak center the third, let Ott center the fourth, and run with a bottom six of:
Brouwer Brodziak Backes (KILLER Bs!)
Berglund Ott Reaves
Berglund needs to go for whatever picks we can get. We don't need a roster spot filled.
What I'd like to see:
Jaskin Brodziak Backes
Brouwer Ott Reaves
That's a lot of beef. |

Who is your top 6?
Steen Statsny Lehtera Schwartz and Tarsenko and who Fabbri? |

You know what? You're right. Need more coffee this morning.
Hell, I'd rather see Pajaarvi given a chance on the third line. Cheaper option than Berglund.
Schwartz Lehtera Tarasenko
Jaskin Stastny Steen
Pajaarvi/ Brouwer Brodziak Backes

I would still like this
Steen Statsny Backes
Schwartz Lehtera Tarasenko
Jaskin Brodziak Brouwer
Paajarvi Ott Reaves
With MP being the guy that moves up and down the lineup
or
Steen Statsny Jaskin
Schwartz Lehtera Tarasenko
Paajarvi Backes Brouwer
Ott Brodziak Reaves
Unless we Trade Berglund and sign Fehr
Than its
Steen Statsny Backes
Schwartz Lehtera Tarasenko
Jaskin Fehr Brouwer
Ott Brodziak Reaves
Paajarvi |

I think Backes aught to be the shutdown line guy. That's the only difference that I see. By having him up in the line up, we turn that line into the line that matches up against the other teams' top lines. I'd rather see that be a third line role, allowing the top two lines to work against the other teams' number 2 and 3 lines.
It's all about leveraging the depth to greatest effect.
Though, really, it's all up to Hitch. |

If we don't unload Backes, that's fine, but he needs to be moved to the bottom 6 and the C coughed up.
Christmas would come early if we unloaded Berglund. |

I dont see Backes as a bottom 6 and the C is not being taken away so keep dreaming
Berglund can be moved its just how the organization views him that keeps him here |

For the last two years (or more) Backes has been identified as a shut down center that gets the opponents #1 center assignment. That screams defensive specialist. If we have players suited to playing a more offensive game and have a more offensive-minded center, why would the Blues all of a sudden re-characterize Backes? |
