He has always been better than Subban. I think he has a chance depending on our playoff performance
PS. I still wouldn't trade him for Karlsson. Haven't changed my mind. |

I know this but sometimes they take into account their play in the playoffs too. He will only get his Norris trophy after the season is over, right? |

Between 71, 87, and 58, the big 3 on the Pens, I always felt they are much more noticeably worse when 58 is out of the lineup over anyone else. Love his play and what he brings! Anyone that has ever thrown out a Letang trade proposal, the return never makes the Pens any better. |

The voting is conducted at the end of the regular season by members of the Professional Hockey Writers Association, and each individual voter ranks their top five candidates on a 10–7–5–3–1 points system.[5] Three finalists are named and the trophy is awarded at the NHL awards ceremony after the conclusion of the playoffs. |

I've got a letang jersey. Yay for me |

At the moment I'd think the top 3 candidates for the award would be Giordano, Weber and Letang (in that order), but I think Letang could easily become the frontrunner over the remainder of the season if the Pens' top 6 stays healthy. |

Like many of us said before the season started, the two players that will benefit the most from HCMJ puck support system would be Letang and MAF. I think Despres belongs on the list but that would be too obvious.

Thanks for clarifying this. I thought they could vote before the end of the playoffs. It would work against poor playoff performers (psychologically speaking if you know what I mean) |

wow..all of this after we beat the great bottom feeder New Jersey Devils
But I agree with you. Different Styles will bennefit certain players. Crosby for sure is snake bitten though |

Something for Winnik.

I didn't read the article yet but i just wanted to get my point out there so if this is addressed, my apologies.
I feel like Letang will never win the Norris because he plays for the penguins. Not that he doesn't deserve it, he's clearly one of the best NHL defensemen, but I feel like for as long as he plays for Pittsburgh he'll never get the full credit he deserves. I don't know I hope he gets it but I have my doubts he'll get recognized. |

Oh I think MJ needs to fix a few things himself. He's making some truly strange choices lately himself. I thought Errey was going to choke on his spit when MJ rolled out the 4th line for offensive zone FO after a commercial break....

If we could get stewart outta buff I think the change in scenery and motivation to be part of a succesful team could really benefit him...perron was known to have somewhat of a bad attitude and hes elevated his play and not shown many signs of his former self, besides occasional offensive zone penalties...
Stewart is big has good scoring ability and a tough physical presence. Do it gmjr |

Shattenkirk a much better candidate than Letang right now if your'e talking a more offensive guy.
Neither is more deserving than Weber or Giordano at the moment. |
