There is so much wrong in this post it's insane. Rangers aren't trading Staal to Carolina and Carolina isn't trading Faulk or Skinner to the Rangers. All you'd need is common sense to figure that out.

I can't see it. If the Canes had played every game as they have in the past 4, I could possibly see this, but not for Skinner or Faulk. I'll clarify that I believe Marc Staal is a very good defenseman, and definitely worth a nice return for the Rags. I also acknowledge that Skinner has had concussion and temper issues in his young career and Faulk has struggled, at least early in the season (he has definitely stepped it up of late), but Francis isn't going to part with either of these guys unless it is an absolutely can't miss deal. Our forward depth is already thinner than Getzlaf's hair, and moving Skinner for M. Staal only exacerbates that issue.
